  • Amp Fiddler and Nat King Cole’s Re:Generations

Nat King Cole has inspired generations of musicians and fans with his dignity, his class, his poise – and throughout it all – his voice. In a continued effort to pay tribute to Cole, on March 10th of 2009, EMI/Capitol Records is set to release RE:GENERATIONS, a groundbreaking album that for the first time pairs some of today's most creative and commercial artists with Nat King Cole, offering them an opportunity to tip their hats to Nat by virtually joining him in the studio to record an entirely new record for today's market.
These artists/producers have created tracks that transcend time and space by incorporating Nat's vocals with their own musical stylings and personal aesthetics. As musical architecture, this album constructs a bridge between generations, between cultures and races. It is an album that offers these musicians an opportunity to tip their hats to Nat by virtually joining him in the studio to record an entirely new record.

The album is set to feature Stephen & Damian Marley, Amp Fiddler, Cee-Lo, Nas & Salaam Remi, The Roots, TV On The Radio, Brazilian Girls, Bebel Gilberto & Michaelangelo L'Acqua, Just Blaze, Izza Kizza & Souldiggaz, Cut Chemist, Bitter:Sweet, will.i.am, and of course, his daughter Natalie Cole.
