European roots meet Americana
Bart de Win gives his very own and authentic interpretation of americana music, exploring the boundaries between country, folk, countryrock, jazz and blues. He’ll guide you over the endless blue highways, to the American small town bars and honky tonks, adding some European flavors.

'Easy to see' was produced and recorded by BJ Baartmans in Boxmeer. Additional recordings took place in Austin, Chicago and London. Bart's Dutch band 'The Simple LIfe', but also his musical friends from around the globe contributed to the record, for example Iain Matthews (Fairport Convention, Matthews Southern Comfort), Walt Wilkins (Sam Baker, Mystiqueros) and Jimmy Davis (Jimmy Davis & Junction). Gilad Atzmon (Ian Dury & The Blockheads, Robert Wyatt) added his beautiful clarinet and saxophone playing. 'Birds of Chicago' members Jeremy Thomas Lindsay and Allison Russell contributed some beautiful harmony vocals. The album was preceded by the release of the single ‘Stepping through’.

Bart's previously released solo albums ‘The simple life’ (2009) en ‘Little world’ (2011) were received very well. Bart’s musical style is often compared to Randy Newman, Dr. John, Ray Charles and Tom Waits. For more information and press reviews you can visit Bart's website: www.bartdewin.nl.
