Beat .. .. .. Rob Liquorstores and Miss Fortune met in 2004 during a Africa benefitconcert. Both were then still playing with their former bands. Rob was a member of the famous A Team Soundsystem, Miss Fortune was the lead singer of AB/CD. They decided to record a duet together which resulted in their hit 'TV song' (the 2007 youtube summerhit). After months of touring with the Pussycat Dolls they made the band official: Beatloaf was born. .. .. The forthcoming album ..Stick a Loaf in your Beat.. is expected to come out in june 2009. We can not wait to get it, it is expected to become as big as the White Album and as powerfull as 2 Unlimiteds' Real things. We already give it 5 stars! (in Rolling Stone magazine, february 2009) .. .. .... .. ..Bruce Springsteen doet Beatloaf.. .. .. Bruce Springsteen heeft aangekondigd het nieuwe nummer van de bekende popformatie Beatloaf te willen coveren. In een interview dat hij had met het tijdschrift Blend zegt Springsteen dat hij zich soms schaamt als hij goede nummers van andere artiesten hoort. "Dan wil je dat je het talent hebt om ook zo te schrijven. En bij dit nummer was dat gevoel zo sterk." aldus een aangeslagen Bruce. "Dit is werkelijk zo goed. Het is anders, het heeft beats, de vocalen zijn verschrikkelijk sterk en van de tekst krijg je kippevel" Bruce vond het nummer van Rob en Miss Fortune zo goed dat hij hen toestemming heeft gevraagd het lied te coveren. Omdat het nummer pas net uit is zijn Rob en Missy daar nu over in overleg met de Born to run ster. Bruce zou het duet op willen nemen met Diana Ross.
