Constant Paranoïa is an internet minded Death Metal band from the Netherlands. In 1999 Thrash Metal clashed with Death Metal when guitarists Michel and Jaco brewed an idea to form a band which would make Metal with more bite, Soon after that, bass player Rene, enthusiastically about the same genre, joined forces. Drummer Michiel, also a consumer of the more rabid type of Metal, joined the band, making the band complete. In 1999, with singer Gijs, Constant Paranoïa set off to make brutal Death Metal. A year later he was replaced by Pier, with his brutal voice and mighty stature, he brought the band to a higher level. In ten years time Constant Paranoïa transformed from Thrash/Death Metal to a more exclusive blastbeat orientated Death Metal, still with a lot of Thrash influences. Constant Paranoïa continues to create Death Metal with brutal blastbeats but also with more intricate melodies and varying rhythm-patterns. Hammering away through the years, many live shows were thoroughly planned, and studio projects got transformed into brutal Metal compositions. Constant Paranoïa has a habit of doing things on their own, resulting in some fine pieces of Metal art: all cd’s were recorded, mixed and mastered by the band itself. The band members themselves created artwork, and live presentation materials like backdrops and logos. Live, Constant Paranoia leaves the crowd in awe by producing powerful, brutal and technical Death Metal perfection together with an astounding stage performance.
