Lionel got inspired at the age of 12 by the at that time very popular hardcore DJ’s, watching party video’s over and over again to see his rolemodels entertain 25000 people with their mixingskills. As Lionel got older his taste in music moved to the hypnotic repetative sound of techno. After establishing his broad sound in techno, Ranging from minimal and techhouse all the way to schranz, he started to perform at various venues. After meeting his “Partner in crime” DJ Marcus, Lionel got more serious in becoming a DJ. After losing in the quarterfinals of the 2006 edition of the Talentenbeurs, to his mate, Lionel reached the final in 2007. Most of his sets he plays together with DJ Marcus as the DJpac duo. Lionel still tries to perfect his technique every day, playing four decks, loving both vinyl and cd’s. Since 2007 Lionel takes a lot of joy in producing a typical Lionelsound.
