The NAACP, founded in New York in 1909 and headquartered in Baltimore, Maryland is a 501(c) 3 entity comprised of seven regions representing 49 states, 5 countries and the District of Columbia. The National Office has responsibility for providing guidance to NAACP regional offices, state conferences and local units by supporting them in their efforts to carry out the initiatives of the Association at the grassroots level.
The NAACP 64-member Board of Directors meets four times per year to conduct the business of the Association. The Board sets policies focused on moving the Association forward as it relates to advocacy, litigation, social and criminal justice issues, economic development and youth outreach.
The NAACP has been leading the effort for social justice for nearly 100 years. Anyone who supports the mission of the NAACP irrespective of race, religion, political affiliation and ideology can become a member of the Association. The Association is comprised of thousands of Units and tens of thousands of members and volunteers nationwide. Unyielding in our purpose, the NAACP ensures the political, educational, social and economic equality of minority group citizens through democratic processes.
The NAACP Regional Offices are located in California, New York, Michigan, Missouri, Georgia, Texas, and Maryland. Each regional office serves as a mentor to states in that region. They provide guidance with regard to the Association's policy, procedure and civil rights agenda. Every local Unit chartered in a particular state works closely with the State Conference arm of the NAACP. The NAACP units can be found in any of the seven regions, each with a staff of volunteers to address the needs of the community and the membership. Currently, there are approximately 1,600 adult branches and 600 youth and college chapters.

For more than ninety five years, the NAACP built and grew on the collective courage of thousands of people. People of all races, nationalities and faiths united on one premise --that all men and women are created equal. The nation's oldest civil rights organization has changed America's history. Despite violence, intimidation and hostile government policies, the NAACP and its grass-roots membership persevered.
The mission of the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People is to ensure the political, educational, social and economic equality of rights of all persons and to eliminate racial hatred and racial discrimination.
VISION
The vision of the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People is to ensure a society in which all individuals have equal rights and there is no racial hatred or racial discrimination.
OBJECTIVES
- To ensure the political, educational, social and economic equality of all citizens
- To achieve equality of rights and eliminate race prejudice among the citizens of the United States
- To remove all barriers of racial discrimination through democratic processes
- To seek enactment and enforcement of federal, state and local laws securing civil rights
- To inform the public of the adverse effects of racial discrimination and to seek its elimination
- To educate persons as to their constitutional rights and to take all lawful action to secure the exercise thereof, and to take any other lawful action in furtherance of these objectives, consistent with the NAACP’s Articles of Incorporation and this Constitution.

Really Obama, build a mosque at ground zero simply because they have the constitutional right to do so? Are you kidding me? Just because you can do something, doesn't mean you should.
It has become hip to be anti-American, and Obama the ACLU, and the NAACP are the hippest of them all.
Obama the ACLU and the NAACP = anti-America!
If it is bad for America, Obama and the ACLU are for it. If it is immoral, Obama and the ACLU will fight feverishly for it. If it is anti-white anything, Obama the ACLU, and the NAACP are all in to promote it. Obama the ACLU, and the NAACP are the biggest racists since the days of KKK dominance.
Those poor misunderstood Muslims that want to build a mosque on the site of their great opening battle against us evil Americans. Naturally Obama the ACLU, and the NAACP should come to their aid. After all, it might be considered decent and pro American to ask the Muslims to consider the feelings of the Americans who lost children, husbands, fathers, daughters, mothers, sisters & brothers there. How insensitive of us not to want the Muslims to praise alla for the great Muslim victory at the site of the mass murder. Of course Obama the ACLU, and the NAACP are on the side of the Muslims.

Camp Lickalotta, is presenting it’s annual, music/comedy festival-Lickalotta Fest 2010’. It will be May 21-23, 2010 at the Etowah River Campground in Dahlonega, GA, 30533. (1 hour north of Atlanta)
It is our hopes, that you will join us, and help us promote this event. We are asking for your help/support in the following ways. We will send you Flyers to post and some of our Business Cards, relating to the Festival-Lickalotta Fest 2010’ to pass out. In return, on our Festival web site, www.lickalottafest.com we will post your Bar/Club/Organization on a special page, so that it can be viewed by those who visit the site. They will get to know about your Bar/Club/Organization. It is a way for us, at Camp Lickalotta, to offer you support, and also let the viewers know, that you support our Festival. This information will remain on the site until January 2011.
