Hi! The Sofu sessions ( formed in 2007) have a funky sound with a lot of Soul influences. The dynamic sound created by a combination of steady drums, grooving bass guitar, funky lead guitar, rhythmic keys, and powerful vocals is still developing. After playing a few covers, the band started writing their own songs. With the song 'Rhythm of Soul', our own Soul sound was born. We perform on several stages in Eindhoven, Valkenswaard, Waalre and other places. We also take part in bandcompetitions, to reach a larger amount of audience. This year we took part in 'Kunstbende 2009', a competition for several art disciplines. With the song 'Dirty cash' we won the second price. We also won 'Kempenerpopprijs 2009'. In February we recorded our first demo CD in Studio 58 in Eindhoven. Some of us study music and used this CD for auditions of music academies. Bedankt voor de complimenten en felicitaties! Het was zeker balen dat we afgekapt waren en konden daardoor ook niet echt het winnaarsgevoel ervaren. Wij vonden persoonlijk dat de prijs naar jullie moest gaan omdat we echt zagen dat jullie een mooie show hadden neergezet waar moeite voor was gedaan. Het enigste wat nu nog kunnen doen is inderdaad proberen te winnen voor Brabant. We'll let you know ;)
