    Gomes has been one of the top players since the beginning of UK Garage here in Holland He became the resident at Speedfreax (#1 garage event NL), and earned that spot because of his energetic and tight sets, and a always kept an eye on the dance floor Between 2000 – 2002, newer and darker sounds derived from the garage scene. Subgenres like ‘Dubstep’ and ‘Grime’ were created and even though the majority of garageheadz kept going to the same sounds, parties, Gomes was more attracted to these darker sounds and wanted to infect more people with this. Causes the sound was played nowhere else Gomes started his own Night in Amsterdam’s paradiso called Oi! (7 years ago) The night slowly grew where it is today, the last 4 years Oi! Became one of the leading organizations in holland, with sold out nights in the Paradiso and co-host partner on festivals like Mysteryland & Valtifest, ADE and this always with the biggest line-ups with uk dj’s & mc’s. Oi! Recordings, is the new label that grew out of the Oi! Parties in Amsterdam. Oi! Recordings is bringing the sound and vibe that you know from their parties; good & high quality party tunes When there is time Gomes produces tunes, back in the days Gomes brought out a EP on the well known grime label Black Ops, and did production for some dutch projects, and worked with mc’s like : d-double-e, Lyrical, Maikel X, Dio, Killah P and more, Gomes also released music on SubSonik Records and on his own label Oi! Recordings His radio show Oi! Pirate Radio, is currently off but was running for 3 years on public radio stations: VPRO’s 3VOOR12, and NPS Lijn5 and now every month @ Red Bull Radio
