Stephen Hartley Linger, better known by his stage name Steve Hartley is a singer, songwriter and record producer. Stephen was raised in a small town in a musical family. He played guitar from the age of nine, later taking up bass and piano. He cites Curtis Mayfield, Marvin Gaye, Otis Redding , James Brown, and Lewis Taylor as favorite artists, and took inspiration from P-Funk group Bootsy Collins and the rubber band, becoming a Bass player & singer. In the spring of 2006 he started recording a demo in his bedroom, called, Step into the light. His demo is almost ready.
